The Panchmukhi Hanuman or the Panchamukhi Anjaneya Swamy is believed to be one of his ‘virat’ (gigantic) forms.
The Panchmukhi Hanuman, is thought to have two forms. One features five majestic faces solely belonging to Hanuman, while the more prevalent one depicts five majestic faces, each associated with a different god. This awe-inspiring form emerged in Patala Loka when Vayuputra Hanuman was entrusted with saving Lord Rama’s life, equipped with potent weapons like the battle axe, disc, mace, trident, and sword. Worshipping Panchmukhi Hanuman is believed to liberate devotees from fears, negativity, and enemies, providing protection from evil spirits, dispelling fear, countering bad forces, and rectifying Vastu dosh at home. The five faces symbolize different directions, with Hanuman facing east, Narasimha south, Varaha north, Garuda west, and Hayagriva the sky.
